How do we ignite a passion for missions in young global leaders’ hearts? Here are five powerful strategies that we have seen work well with kids.

1. Cultivate a heart for the world:
   Children who are in church often struggle to understand the concept of lostness. However, it is vital to help them grasp that there are billions of individuals who have never once heard the name of Jesus and they can do something about it! We teach on the topic of reaching the world, explaining the significance of reaching out to those who do not know Christ. This includes people in their own culture and those who are all across the globe.
2. Pray for specific nations:
   When children hear or see challenges happening in other countries, they are quick to respond with compassion. We teach children to use that compassion and pray for countries facing challenges. By doing so, they not only learn about and connect with diverse cultures but also see how their prayers can make a meaningful impact. Their prayers are POWERFUL!
3. Teach on Missions:
   Some kids are destined to be missionaries, and every child is called to support those who are on the mission field. When you teach on missions and the power of the Holy Spirit, it lights a fire in the hearts of the young leaders in your class.
4. Support to Missionaries:
   When kids give to missions, it not only supports the missionaries but also connects kids’ hearts with the spreading of the Gospel. Serving in your local church is another way children can support missionaries. When kids give and serve in their local church, they help strengthen the church’s ability to support missionaries and spread the gospel. We each have a part to play!
5. Hear the voice of a Missionary:
   Just as kids look up to athletes or celebrities, they can also be inspired by real-life missionaries. Our curriculum includes engaging stories, images, and examples from actual missionaries, helping kids connect on a personal level.
