The Bible says that “God is Love,” but what does that mean?
The way we use the word love in the 21st Century can be confusing for kids.
We say, “I love my Mom” and “I love candy.”
Is love just an advanced case of the cooties or is it what compelled Jesus to the cross?
One of my favorite books is “The Four Loves” by C. S. Lewis.
C. S. Lewis helped me understand the four different kinds of love and gave me a personal understanding of the depth of love that Father God has for me.
It is vital that kids today gain an understanding of how wide, how long, how high and how deep the love of God is.
When they are equipped with the proper understanding they will be able to walk out John 13:35, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
This is why I wrote an entire 12-week series on the topic of love called Agape.
