Easter is quickly approaching. Easter is a time of celebration for Christians rejoicing in what Jesus did for us. He loved us to much that He died on the cross, took our sin upon Himself and rose again with new life.
However, there is a big bunny in the room. Did you know we can use the Easter Bunny to teach kids about what Jesus has done for us and the qualities we should have because we know Him?
Easter Bunnies Are White as Snow
Jesus cleansed us from sin and makes us clean. We celebrate that Jesus died on a cross and rose again. He took care of the sin problem. That is what Easter is all about.
“But you were washed clean. You were made holy, and you were made right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” I Corinthians 6:11 NCV
Easter Bunnies Have Big Ears
We should have big ears that are quick to hear and listen. Quick to hear our parents, our teachers, our friends and others.
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” James 1:19
Easter Bunnies Have Big Eyes
Our eyes should look carefully and choose what is good. We have a choice every day what we do and where we go. Our eyes are important to do this.
“But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” James 1:25 NLT
Easter Bunnies Hop & Jump
We hop and jump with joy because of what Jesus has done for us. Jesus is our best friend, He has saved us from sin and gives us life.
“Be full of joy always because you belong to the Lord. Again I say, be full of joy!”
Philippians 4:4 NLV
Easter Bunnies Have Big Feet
We use our feet to go tell others about Jesus and what He has done for us. What He has done for us, He wants to do for our family and friends too.
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation.” Isaiah 52:7 NIV
