Stop Being Afraid, IT’S NOT THAT SIMPLE, or is it?
God does not want fear controlling our life. However, fear is all around us and I have especially noticed how kids are afraid of a lot of things these days.
Some fears are real and some are imaginary. There is fear of spiders, snakes, monsters and the boogieman. There is fear of dogs, heights and fear of flying.
Even if the fear is all in our head, the feeling of fear is very real and it can be disruptive in our life.
Fear can be overwhelming and it may not be as simple as saying, “stop being afraid,” or is it?
When fear takes control, we need some extra help. We need God’s power to help us get rid of the fear.
The good news is that we have a secret weapon to help us resist the spirit of fear – the Sword of the Spirit.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

What is FDR saying? He was saying we can choose not to be afraid, we can be courageous while facing our fears.
