Internet Safety… Reimagined!

Parenting in the 21st century is challenging.

One of the biggest challenges parents face is internet safety.

I have a 17-month-old girl, Andi, she already knows how to “talk” to Siri and navigate through her educational apps on our family iPad.

We are raising an entire generation of children who will grow up connected to the internet and smart devices.

It is our jobs as kids pastors and parents to arm our families with useful information to help them protect our kids.

A couple months ago, Circle launched a brand new product called Circle with Disney.
Circle with Disney is an internet safety device that pairs with an iOS Companion app to give you complete control of your home internet network.

Check Out Some Key Features:

Time Limits: Sometimes it is hard to keep track of how long your kids have been playing on their iPad, iPod or smartphone. Circle with Disney allows you to set time limits for each device connected to your network as well as time limites for particular apps.

Bed Time: This is a great feature because it automatically disconnects the internet from each device. More importantly, you can set a specific bed time per device for each family member.

Filtering: Depending on the age and interests of your family members you can set specific filters and it will apply to EACH of their devices that connects to the internet in your home.

Pause: Have you ever wanted to “Pause” the internet? Now you can! “Pause” the internet in the house for family game night, dinner or when friends come over. It even sends a little notification to all the devices about what is happening, it is like group texting for your family 🙂

Insights: You’ll be able to monitor where everyone has been spending their internet time as well as compare it to previous months. This is useful to see if there is some trends emerging in your family of being connected to your devices all night long.

Devices: Each device gets its own personalized treatment and once it is assigned to a family member their filtering, bed time and time limits are placed on the device.

No Power Plug: This one is huge because it cannot be unplugged and more importantly it cannot be removed from the house without you knowing it!
