Are You Teaching Your Kids to be Leaders?

Leader1

I recently wrote a new curriculum on leadership for kids.

It may be the best curriculum I have ever written.

Why do we need to teach kids about Leadership?

Allow me to answer that question with a story. Imagine that Johnny is at a friend’s house and his buddy wants to watch a movie that Johnny knows he should not watch.

If Johnny response is “My parents won’t let me watch that movie”, he is not leading.

Johnny is still depending on Mom and Dad to make his decisions. He begins to be a leader when he can say, “I don’t want to watch that movie, because it is not good for me.”

There are young leaders in your class. It may be the kid who is trying to take over. Sometimes what we call rebellion is really young leaders trying to use their leadership gifts.

Take the time to train your young leaders and they will be a blessing to you. If you don’t invest in them they will be a thorn in your flesh.
